The Cotswold Expedition is for experienced tourists and sportive
riders. It is divided roughly into quarters. Stages 1 and
4 take
participants through the greenery of south Warwickshire. In
between, the route explores the best limestone countryside
the Cotswolds has to offer, following the Windrush valley
before striking north for home.
About a quarter of the route is new for 2010. The middle
section has been modified and extended slightly, making the
ride more scenic and enabling us to use an excellent new middle
control near Ramsden. The essential character of the ride
remains unchanged, and the much-praised controls at Broadway
Tower and Shutford are still on the itinerary.
