Club Runs

Club runs form one of the key elements of club life. They are sociable group rides that start on the edge of Birmingham and usually involve a café stop for elevenses.

  • Enjoyable get-togethers for riders of all abilities
  • Country lanes used as much as possible
  • Destinations and routes vary from week to week
  • Newcomers welcome

The main club run day is Sunday, when rides of various difficulty levels are organised, including monthly introductory rides and, two or three weeks out of four, a short non-stop ride called the 'Beacon Burst'. There is also a mid-week ride at a sociable pace on Thursdays.

Everyone who takes part is expected to be familiar with and follow our Club Run Guidelines. New riders may also find it helpful to read our FAQ page before coming on a club run.

We are often asked if there is a minimum age for youngters joining our club runs. Young people can join in the club's activities as soon as they are ready to (subject to parental consent if under 16) [full details].
