Introductory Rides
 |
|
Congratulations to participants
of our January 2008 introductory ride who enjoyed a
frosty loop to Chaddesley Corbett via Clent regardless
of freezing temperatures and icy roads
|
On the first Sunday of every month, we have an Introductory
Ride to which everyone is welcome. The purpose of this club
run is to provide a relatively short, easy-paced ride suitable
for newcomers or riders who are not yet confident of being
able to ride with the main club runs. Riders returning to
cycling, teenagers or those who are still gaining cycling
fitness would all benefit from joining us on these rides.
The leader will choose a route on quiet roads without too
many hills and nobody will be left behind. You can expect
the ride to cover about 20-30 miles including a stop at a
café for refreshments. The leader's aim is to help you enjoy
the ride and to answer any questions you may have about the
Beacon Roads Cycling Club.

Next Ride Date: 7th September 2008
|
Leader: Simon Dighton
|
|
Details (published shortly before each ride)
|
|
Details will be provided nearer the date but expect
a ride of up to 30 miles including a café stop.
|
Introductory club runs meet at 9am for a 9.15 start from
the Black Horse public house, near the junction of Bristol
Road and Frankley Beeches Road, Northfield [map].
All participants are expected to be familiar with and follow
our Club
Run Guidelines.
Introductory rides are tailored to the needs of those
planning to take part. So, if you are thinking of joining
a ride, be sure to contact
us first and let us know a bit about the riding you've
been doing lately. Alternatively, just turn up at the Black
Horse and ask for the Intro Ride leader.
