I wouldn't use one for cycling to work but I thought one might be okay for when I go away. I don't mind getting a bit wet but when I'm riding all day and camping I want to stay as dry as possible especially if it chucks it down all day. I have a waterproof jacket that's not too bad but rain gets in ...

Hi, Just rejoined the club and should be out on some club runs soon once i have some more miles in the legs. I need to get the miles in as well as i have booked a trip to France in June to do a tour around Normandy and the Loire Valley.

Greipel is just too good at the moment. Was watching the highlights on itv4 last night and they interviewed Cavendish. He could have said that he was beaten by the better sprinter but no he had to have a go at the interviewer instead who i thought asked a perfectly legit question.

I arrive in Valence Sunday morning (15th June) i hope it's the morning and my ferry back from Hook is booked for 26th June so i don't think i'll have any rest days but i'll see how i go. Just thought i'd post some details of my upcoming trip. I set off next weekend using Bike Express again and get dropped off in Valence. From Valence i am going to cycle to Alp D'huez. I was out in that neck of the woods last week. I caught the train to Hereford though and cycled from there to Rhandirmwyn near Llandovery. Was still 86 mile and bloomin tough. I wouldn't fancy cycling all the way from Brum to New Quay.
