Some delightful images evoking a strong whiff of nostalgia! I remember them both your parent well. Both were very friendly and most welcoming to a young 16 year old coming into the Allens Cross based clubroom in 1967! Images of several of my contemporaries from that era including Rod Goodfellow, Jac...

Re: CANCELLED !!! Sunday 18th December - Guided Ride to Earlswood Lakes 28miles at D Ride Pace 9.00am start
Tomorrow will be a difficult day for riding. Be mindful that if the rain starts falling on to sub zero roads the result will be very precarious conditions under-wheel. Of interest is that many of our club are meeting up at the Swan at Chaddesley Corbett at 12 for the annual bike fest. Usually pretty...

Hi Adrian, Anne and I have tried to keep this date clear but to no avail. I am in Newcastle-U-L for track riding (gate starts) and Anne has to stay at home due to builders cutting off water supply that day. (Don't ask)! Sadly I'm not seeing a rush of volunteers on here. We hope all goes well.

Living just up the hill from this island means it's almost unavoidable for me. I have stated to hug the RHS of the RHL until exiting the island and then making my way across to the inside provided that it is clear. I am not sure of any real safe way of coping with this.

I agree entirely George. Most aspects of bike riding have greatly improved over time and the only major negatives to lament are the number of vehicles on the roads and the parlous state of said carriageways.
