Re: hill climbchampionship Sat 17th Sept RESULTS
Just for the record, IMO I don't think sweeping the course should happen every year.... assuming someone is mad enough to try it again! Mud, leaves, horse S%&t are all par for the course. But this year was exceptional. The road was clean until just 2 weeks before the race, when 1-in-20 year coppicin...

Thanks Martin and Helen for timekeeping.
And many thanks, Martin, for the lift home through the doom and gloom...
I don't like TTs or rain, but thats how desperate I was to get out the of house and on to the bike

Thanks Martin and Richard for organising. .... Having seen photos of Dave's injuries, I can't believe he raced last night. No one could! But he still managed an excellent time. Probably because he was well rested. But it was like something out of the Rocky Horror Show. Thankfully there were no child...

yes, its the INNER wheel rim width which is important. No good trying to stuff a wide tyre in to a thin inner rim. I have 28 mm tyres (bontranger and GP4000s) on bontranger wheels with a 19.5 inner rim width and they handle on winding descents like nothing else I have ridden. I've smashed all my dow...

Ladies bike in June
Planning a c. 3 week tour from Rotterdam to Copenhagen in June with a friend. Anyone got a ladies bike (to fit c. 5.2 ft), suitable for touring in the flatlands (i.e. doesn't have to be high spec/light) I could borrow for 3 weeks in June? If it doesn't have a rear rack I'll fit one and service the b...

Taking your bike on Eurostar
Already complicated, now even more so as Eurostar will require you to put your bike in a box. CTC (and all other European cycling orgs) are running a campaign to get Eurostar to change their mind. I've just signed. Would be great if others do. You don't have to be a CTC member to sign. Click on the ...

Yes, Dave, all just for walkers and cyclists. It used to be tree lined but the floods and erosion swept them away (and part of the floating bikeway further downstream!). so they have installed more man-made shelter. This particular bikeway was a victim of of its own success with occasional bikeway r...

Gironimo- Tim Moore's new book
