Re: hill climbchampionship Sat 17th Sept RESULTS

Just for the record, IMO I don't think sweeping the course should happen every year.... assuming someone is mad enough to try it again! Mud, leaves, horse S%&t are all par for the course. But this year was exceptional. The road was clean until just 2 weeks before the race, when 1-in-20 year coppicin...

Have a good one Barry. Doubt i'll have got as far as Holland by the time you set off but you never know. Will you be going along the coastal route?
Will go inland through Friesland as I have friends living there, but probably hit the coast north of Groningen

yes, its the INNER wheel rim width which is important. No good trying to stuff a wide tyre in to a thin inner rim. I have 28 mm tyres (bontranger and GP4000s) on bontranger wheels with a 19.5 inner rim width and they handle on winding descents like nothing else I have ridden. I've smashed all my dow...

Planning a c. 3 week tour from Rotterdam to Copenhagen in June with a friend. Anyone got a ladies bike (to fit c. 5.2 ft), suitable for touring in the flatlands (i.e. doesn't have to be high spec/light) I could borrow for 3 weeks in June? Already complicated, now even more so as Eurostar will require you to put your bike in a box. CTC (and all other European cycling orgs) are running a campaign to get Eurostar to change their mind. I've just signed. Would be great if others do. You don't have to be a CTC member to sign. Click on the ...

Yes, Dave, all just for walkers and cyclists.
