Tracking/ICE app
I like the look of this app - although there is a risk of emergency services turning up and carting you off before you finish your beans on toast if you forget to switch it off when you get to the cafe

You need to push the police to take action. There's a limit to the time in which charges can be laid and there's a risk you'll end up in the same situation as me (albeit for different reasons) where the driver gets off scot free. If the insurers have admitted liability for your bike then surely it f...

Definitely vintage - it's more than 5 years old, although those tyres look suspiciously modern . . . . :) I read somewhere that the cover of a book is a key determinant in whether people bought a book. I'm guessing this book didn't sell well . . . . Maybe the next edition should use a frame from thi...

Yes, it's another GPS thread  I'm looking for a GPS unit that I can load a route onto (e.g. an Audax route) and the unit tells me when to turn (and in which direction of course) and obviously I need the ability to record routes so I can continue to prop up the bottom of the Beacon Strava Leagu...

Harry, you don't need a heart rate monitor - mostly it can be done on feel (e.g. you can gauge roughly what 'zone' you're training at by whether you can talk in sentences, phrases, words or grunts :) ). Lots of sensible advice from George, but if you want a turbo trainer I have one you can have for ...

The support Armstrong received from his team was a key factor in his 'successes' too. As I'm sure we all remember, USPS were so much better than any other team including Telekom. It was not unusual for Armstrong to have 3 or 4 team mates around him in the high mountains whereas the others (Ullrich, ...

According to Christian Prudhomme (quoted in The Guardian 13 Oct) ASO do not have the authority to strip Armstrong of his TDF titles: that rests with the UCI. He would like to see Armstrong's name removed from the records and no winner shown for those seven years. The characters at the heart of the ...

Thanks both. The Polaris kit is good, but seems to stop age 12 and whilst he might be as skinny as a 12 year old, Jake is quite a bit taller than your average 12 year old, and has probably grown another inch as I type this. Good news on the club kit though. In the interim I called in at Decathlon on...
