Anyone have their savings at the Halifax, the Woolwich (ah, now the Barclays) or the Abbey (doh, the Santander)? 😏

BTW, we do get Solihull club members in the shop ( should it just be 'in shop'?) referring to 'the Solihull'. Maybe the the just sounds right in some cases and not others?

Nick, the back ache you describe is most frequently caused by a saddle that's too high. I don't believe in coincidences, so I'd suggest you get some help in adjusting your overall fit.

Cassette 'sprockets'; 'chainrings' on the front are attached to the chainset/crankset. To add to the debate, chainrings are the area where there is most flexibility to mix. I didn't see the behaviour you did, Tim. I'm sure the commissaires would have stepped in if they'd been aware: Debbie Salkeld is particularly sharp on this kind of behaviour. I know of one parent who was banned from WMCCL races for bullying his kids. Sad.

The kids course is more a mix of grass and paths through the woods and is mildly undulating. The grass makes up about a fifth of the course and is meant to be cut this week, I think.
