I'm signed up for the Bristol Blast too Steve. Not done any of them before so looking forward to it. I need to start riding again though... Overdid it on my summer tour and did a bit more damage to my knee.

A well organised event..and listening to the rain lashing outside now, we definitely got the best of the weather today. The headwind on the way out was unnecessarily cruel but the tailwind on the way back was amazing! I rode out to the event and back so did about 76 miles today. A testing return to ...

I know someone who has been to morocco with KE adventures recently and really rated it. I also know some folks who did the pyrenees raid with KE last september and thought they were very good.
Personally I really like morocco and would love to cycle there (or to there!) at some stage.

Phil. I actually missed the turn for the feed station and was too far away by the time I realised. It wouldn't have mattered as I could stop at the shop.. Except I had no money. A kind rider shouted me a drink and food. Otherwise it would have been 74 miles on one oatcake and a few peanuts!!

I did it. It felt a long 73 miles. Garmin didn't work, forgot to start it, missed the feed station turn (and had forgotten my money). Apart from those mishaps, a good event! Well organised and friendly I thought.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply and offer food for thought. I was secretly hoping for corroboration for my Trek inclination to make life easy - but alas that was not to be! Trek wheels have got a right bashing from you guys. I'm a bit surprised as I've scoured the net for reviews on forum...

http://www.worcester.ac.uk/discover/bikefit.html Alistair - I got a bike fit done here a few months ago. It was very comprehensive - lasted about 2 hours in all and included lots of questions about previous and anticipated riding as well as flexibility tests. I got it in anticipation of a new bike ...

New bike advice

So the day has come to acknowledge that the Dawes Galaxy might not be the best summer, club run bike ...and I'm ready to sink some cash on a lean, mean carbon machine. Mainly I'll want it for club runs, audax/sportive rides of 100 miles - i.e. endurance not racing (!) - but I want it to feel discern...

MTB advice for summer trip to Himalayas

It is time to come back to doing club runs with the Beacon when you start dreaming about club runs with the Beacon. Last night we all met at some unidentifiable Cotwold location, went to the end of the road and ended up on the US Pacific Highway Coast road somewhere between LA and San Fran. Bizzarel...

and the on-line tutorial continues...!
any advice on editing a saved route? The instructions say drag and drop but either nothing very much happens or it just gives an actual straight line to the new route instead of following a road. bizarre.
thanks!

thanks guys. John - so far so good with Mozilla. I've saved 2 days! Another question - how many track points are you meant to put in? Only to avoid the route going a way you don't want it to go? If you want to do 20 miles along the same road, is there any reason you would put in track routes along t...

Help - bikeroutetoaster issues

I've just posted this on CTC forum but then thought local knowledge would be as good! I've finally got to grips (ish) with my Garmin Edge and so want to put on my day routes for JOGLE, the idea being that this will be my main navigating tool. However, bikeroutetoaster is giving me some issues. It ke...
