Wayhay!! Would be good if gazebo and podium and stakes could be stored there. I've got a big BC bag, a turbo trainer and set of rollers.

No but enjoy it. Did it in 2010, the Contador v Schleck dodgy steak fueled Tourmallet stage! Was a great experience, got round ten mins inside time limit! 3500 people didn't :shock:

I may be at some, "taking part" might be over optimistic though as done nothing since the woolly mamils! Very different to Stourport, shorter and can go round without braking. Will start quick and settle down after 15 mins so if can stay in front half you will be ok. The 3/4 weeks are obviously norm...

Pretty sure unless Ade says different all comers will be welcome on any type of bike, non members, members, members of other clubs etc. No need to be BC member at all.

It's also about whether you want to do well and not be scared of going fast! So as much track bike and track experience as possible I'd say. If it ends up you can't get any just do the pursuit.

Sunday 9th June is the Birmingham British Cycling closed road Let's Ride event. Perfect opportunity to do a super intro/family ride straight down the A38 and use the new segregated bike lane (which is to be finished in May, only delivered 5months late by Amey!) and enjoy the closed roads in the city...

Same as first, not on the pace. Dropped at ten mins when there was a big attack that split the field in three. Brutal wind although no excuse as didn't slow the rest down! Was aiming to peak this week though so got 5 days to make that happen!

Regarding practice, you been to Tudor Grange in Solihull? Early mornings are good there if not icy, don't risk it there if under 4c, just need to watch out...

Anyone willing to race, I'd say focus on that, as numbers are normally low and there's lots of trophies up for grabs. If you just want to just do the pursuit though that's fine but still need some track/fixed experience. You planning to do any of the Friday night track league Jamie?

There's a meeting on cycling and walking on Monday evening that the council and councillor Armstrong will be at, at the Impact Hub in Digbeth at 6.30. Go along and raise there and share ideas on how can get more people cycling and walking.
