Really depends on the rim width. I have a set of FFWD wheels that are quite wide and a 23mm comes up at 24.5mm. Generally I do races & TT's on 23's but do training and group rides on 25's. Winter rides are on 28's.

The northern end of the course is quite a narrow road in parts and it's fairly busy, meaning car drivers get frustrated and pull close passes...making it dangerous and not pleasant for competitors. Also as the cars stack up behind a rider, looking for a passing spot, it can mean a faster rider behin...

You just need to turn up with £3 in your pocket, sign on...then slog your guts out for 5mins (ish). Meet up is at the bottom of winwoodheath rd 30mins before the start time, which is 10am.

I'll be half way up taking photo's, so put your best pain face on...

I've entered the Aerocoach event anyway...so if it's the club champs...so much the better.

Not convinced that is fair TBH, as I've not ridden this course before. For example Martin has a PB of 22:31 and rode 23:40 I have a PB of 23:12 and rode a 23:57 Therefore Martin came further outside his PB than I did, but he's ridden this course before and I've not....however I've received more of a...

It was a good day, not exactly fun especially with that headwind uphill on the return leg...I could definitely have done without that. Well done everyone and thanks to everyone who organised and raced. Need some time off now to find my legs again....

How exactly is the handicap worked out? Not sure I can tell from the above post. Is it a combination of age and other factors?
