Re: Sun 9th sep KH12 club hill climb championship RESULTS

Congratulations! I was disappointed not to be at the side of the road this year. Avoiding clashes with other events is very difficult for organisers, I know. However, its importance for getting a good turnout means that it should always be a priority. (There was never an issue when it was the first ...

Re: Long-sleeved club jersey size L (but more like M)

Dave, it's nominally large. But it's smaller than my other large Diadora tops. So I suspect that either it's an incorrectly labelled medium, or it's the product of inaccurate manufacture causing it to be closer to medium than large. £25 would certainly be acceptable. If you're interested, you're wel...

Long-sleeved club jersey size L (but more like M)

I've got a long-sleeved Beacon jersey, hardly used, which doesn't really fit me. It's a Giordana, nominally size L (but see below). It has a full-length zip and is heavier fabric than the short-sleeved jerseys, slightly fleecy but not windproof like a winter jacket. It originally belonged to George ...

Barry, I'm not very conveniently located for you, and I suspect that my bikes may not be ideal for you, but if you're stuck for a better option, drop me a line. That day, I will be riding tandem with Roger, but could bring a spare bike into B'ham.

Indeed they do, Dave. They have deep resonance for this old geezer too; that's why I made my original quip. However, a club that in its decision-making attaches greater importance to deep resonance for old geezers than it attaches to the needs of participants and organisers, is a club destined for d...

Ha! Indeed. However being forced to race a big open HC up North (this year the first weekend of October is The Rake) and doing the club champs would make for some sore choices I'm sure! Yes, my tongue was very much in my cheek, David. In reality, I believe that things such as the date of the HC sho...

This week's B run will be a little longer than usual: 109km (68 miles), to Ilmington. It's therefore very unlikely that we will be back at the BH before 2pm, and it could easily be 2:30.
