Not a big turnout for the Malvern 100 miler. Not surprising given the wind out there today and the Audax yesterday.

Hi, Ill lead a B run- Pace to be determined by slowest rider. If you are looking to step up from the C run make yourself known to me at the Black horse so I can manage speed accordingly.

Destination is still to be decided.

(probably the cafe at Halfpenny green)

I was rejected in ballot- but was on team last year.

would like to give it another go, but if anyone else was rejected and hasn't done it then its only fair they have a shot on the 'guaranteed' team.

as mentioned, we could apply for more teams if there is enough interest...

Mavic freehub issues.

My 2012 Mavic aksium freehub is not behaving

wheel has done about 4000km
have replaced the pawls/springs + freehub body.

However, the freehub is still sticking (I have used the correct thin mineral oil)
(and the washer is still in place)

any ideas?

you are correct 100psi=100psi. but i would guess that a bead that has stretched will allow a small amount of gas to escape, reducing the coefficient of friction between the tyre and rim causing a sudden and violent escape of 100psi. whilst air is in the tube at 100psi it cant flow in the same manner...

i am going to have to drop out of this.

due to having more work on that expected. have not been on the bike in over a week and don't see myself having the time for at least 2 weeks more- therefore i won't be up to the distance.

Sorry- i was really looking forward to this.
