Re: Cycling in Tuscany

Hi George, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
I will bear this in mind and when I have a bit more info on what circumstances might be doing will catch up with you. Do you have any mapped out routes rather than Garmin? Or reccommended routes/climbs in that area?

Cycling in Tuscany

Hi guys, thinking about doing a weeks riding in Tuscany next year, may be one centre (Lucca) or perhaps two. Has anyone done any riding in this area with Garmin or mapped out routes?

Hi guys, just to add to your posts. "Diamond Buses, while riding home on 4th July 2018 at 16:53 on the A38 (Bristol Road) I was passed by one of your buses which cut in front of me dangerously close, despite there being a free lane ahead which would allow the bus to pass me and then filter in safely...

Re: Club runs - 20th August

After the grand depart from the Black Horse of both A & B runs together the A run took up the initiative through Rednal on to Barnt Green, only for lead rider Neil Lynch to suffer a mechanical and abandon his ride. With Kevin Young stepping up to the plate, the group were ably led to Tewkesbury with...

Unfortunately Alan I've got tons of clips and tales of near misses riding in to B'ham most days. It has to be said that the standard of driving, respect for others road users and general care & attention is sadly poor. It seems that a lot of car drivers only see what's at the end of their bonnet and...

Despite having to remember the route after a Garmin failure, first lead of an 'A' run appears to have been successful? On the ride today was:

Ian Simpson (L)
Martin McGowan
Adrian Ravenscroft
Steve Philpot
Oliver Timms

Approximately 60 miles BH to BH average 18mph, well done all.

Thanks Phil for the intro. New venue so hopefully meets the grade. Black Horse-Black Hill-Black Horse approximately 60 miles. Riders will need locks as the coffee shop is towards back of centre, with bikes parked at the side. One short stretch on a dual carriageway to be navigated but filter lanes a...

Guys, wasn't necessarily looking to go all out as I know about the sting in tail at Glascwym, 20%-25%! Happy to go steady as its a nice ride, weather permitting.

Registration opens at 08:00 so probably start just after, if that helps.
