Re: Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation

Not quite the dinner, which was a great evening, well done. I will not be able to attend this years AGM as we are no longer in the UK, at the moment we are in a very snowy Spain. Will attempt Zoom if we can get a signal. Regards Charlie.

George, so sorry, will not be able to attend the club dinner this year as we are already booked for an event near Melton Mowbray over that weekend. Hope it all goes as well as it usually does, and good luck on your first, of many I'm sure, dinner as President. Best wishes Charlie.

For those of you that don't know Dennis, he is one of only two founder members of the club who are still with us. Yesterday I went to see Dennis in the QE where he was taken last Friday after suffering a stroke in the home where he now lives in Northfield. He seems to be on the mend and can now walk...

A South African company produced TOOBZ which were intended to replace a normal inner tube. They were a hardened foam, which were made, at the time, for 26inch MTB wheels. Some wheels are built with the spokes too tight. When one breaks it usually results in quite a buckle in the wheel because of the tension. I used to slacken off all the spokes on a new wheel, although you have to be very careful whilst doing it.
