I had a carbon Planet X TT frame and it was possibly the best TT frame I have ridden. I sold it to buy an Isaac which was built and finished really well but in my opinion wasn't as good a frame as the PX.
I did regret selling that frame, it fitted like a glove!

Thanks Oscar, good to see you are still hitting the trails! "Not very challenging and a bit short" sounds right up my street at the moment. I have been to Cannock a few times, most recently last Saturday. It's really good but why have they dumped those big, round stones all over the trail? Awful sur...

As for deflating road tubes over mtb tubes, they will 'cos they're running at x4 the pressure. More than likely it's actually leaking through the tube itself! Having prchased a suspension pump recently, this got me thinking more about valves and the ability to hold pressure. My fork pressure is 135...

I've done the paper method before Phil, for years. However, I can't read without glasses now and I think GPS would help me, so it seems a no brainer. Blimey, I remember sticking tiny direction notes and time splits on my stem for 100 mile TTs and tricky 50s.....old age is a terrible thing! I think t...

GPS? Any good?
I am considering GPS for my bike. To be honest, I don't understand much about the functionality but I would like to download routes to follow etc, including mtb routes. Is this possible? What are the best models for route following? Appreciate any help..... I have used a Garmin Forerunner for a litt...

Cheers chaps, well apart from the tubeless point I cn't see any big advantage of Presta over Schrader.....ok they're not as cool! :P From experience Schrader valves are much better at the job they are designed to do...ie. Keep air inside the tube. My road bikes with Presta valves often need the pres...

Presta Vs Schrader?
OK, I might be a bit old but my thinking was always that Presta valve = better for high pressure narrow tubes; Schrader = better at holding low pressure, large volume. I went out for an MTB ride with a mate last week who informd me that very few riders in the mtb world uses Schrader anymore. My bike...

Dry Eyes
I've had something similar where I get blurred vision which momentarily clears when I blink and then returns to blurred again shortly afterwards. Didn't get it whilst I haven't been riding my bike, so I would assume that the dehydrating effects of cycling play a big part. My optician told me that I ...

I had a quick look around for wheels when building up my winter bike two years ago. I bought the 105 factory built wheelset as I had trouble finding anyone that actually had hand built wheels 'on the shelf.' They have been pretty bomb proof, but as with most of these factory wheelsets with a low spo...
