2018 Ride London Team Entry

Hi all I coordinated the team entry into the draw for Ride London last year. Unfortunately we didn't get a spot. I've just had the email inviting entries for this year. I won't be available to ride this year. I'm very likely to be moving house around that weekend as I'm off to Yorkshire at the end o...

Sounds like a plan. I'll race if I make it in time and if not just take over from Gavin.

Hi Laurence, I should be able to help out next Tuesday. I should be able to make the first race, but it depends a bit on my wife getting back from work on time so I can have the car. If you've got loads of marshalls already let me know and I'll probably race, if I make it. (though if you are shor...

Right done. I'll pop something on facebook in due course but if anyone is interested let me know and I'll let people know if/when we get a place. Unfortunately, one qualification is that you are male, given the options and who has expressed interest so far I went for a male team - no option to decid...

Hello, I was chatting to Matt yesterday and I would be up for doing it again. At the moment that's just 2 people I think but is it worth me sticking an entry in and trying to find the extra people over the next few weeks....If we get an entry. Are there consequences to not filling the entry if we ca...

So after dipping my toe in the racing water last year I think I'm going to give it another shot. Though the winter hasn't gone to plan, this year take it a bit more seriously, train harder and better and aim to get points and a cat 3 licence. I've missed the woolly mamils, but I might sneak an early...

New Bike

Just trying to decide on a new bike and just want to see if anyone has any experience of the bikes in question. I'm torn between going lightweight with a Cannodale Super 6 Evo red or aero with the Boardman Air 9.2. Price is similar. I have started to race the odd crit when I'm not injured/ill (which...

Hello, I'm happy to lead a C run tomorrow. I am going to suggest this route https://www.strava.com/activities/301752297 to www.hillers.co.uk/default.asp - unless anyone know they don't like groups of cyclists with no notice. Keeping it fairly short so we can miss the rain that is due to arrive mid a...

I went past it today and you can get past if necessary but you do have to get off the bike. And be aware if you're coming down the hill towards it.

Thanks to the organisers,I think I enjoyed that.

Dave, can I just check my time - I thought you had initially announced me at a 3.24 so adding a minute would have been 4.24 - which would tally with my garmin. Not that it really matters but would be nice to know for next year.

Thanks,

I've been given my pass for a Sunday ride so I came and looked to see if there was a B run happening tomorrow but seeing as there isn't one planned I guess if I want one I'll have to lead it myself. As I haven't much time to think about it, I'm going to have to go for somewhere we've been fairly rec...

Thinking of coming along tomorrow to give time trialling a go, but was just wondering if there is anywhere park a car near the start?

also is there anything else i need to do other than turn up with my £3, cycle like crazy and hope everyone hasn't left by the time I've finished?

thanks

Don't worry about it, i'm not feeling forced to drop out or anything. Personally if don't spend 150 on a sportive and have a free weekend in august this year its ok - had a few unexpected expenses so while it would be nice to ride I don't have a strong desire to take part (certainly not as strong as...

Wheel Advice

After a bit of an 'incident' earlier this week I now have a buckled rear wheel. Measuring by the brake block I thinks its about 1cm from true maybe a little more. Being a bit clueless about this sort of thing, I was wondering if its possible to get this sort of thing fixed, or should I just get myse...
