Same problem on a Shimano RS21 rear wheel but on every spoke hole on the drive side only!
No idea how long i had been riding on it like that.

Hi Well managed the 100k up to to the feed station very hard &very muddy .Did the 2nd half of the 50k (seemed a lot of road ?)but was glad of it after the first 32 mile of mud & water! Hi I managed to remove the bb30 bearings from my Boardman CX by careful use of a suitable metal drift. Just work round the bearing being careful not to catch the very large circlip that the bearing sits up against! On installation ensure the bearing is being drawn in "square" to the B/B. Well managed to get an entry via the "lottery" which was held after the fiasco of the entry system failing about twice due to the Servers failing!!
Info please on what to expect on route ie How much Tarmac/bridleway/ single track/etc etc .Amount of climbing?

Hi
I rode the event has to be the worst conditions i have ever encountered.
It was so cold on top of the hills,most riders seemed to be baling out at Glacym but i carried on & finised the course.Might even have been the oldest finisher (66) or the most stupid to start!!

Had the same problem re squealing convinced it was the front wheel turned out to be the rear.Mavic Kysyrium Elites rear hub seal problem only done 500mls fixed now ok.

I would think TREK are using the A-HEAD system if its a modern bike.
Also if its the HIDDEN type of headset, as the name implys they are much harder to find!ho ho ho
