Note that the Meriden run begins at 8.30. There's the option to stop at Lavender Hall for breakfast. Tea/Coffee cake in Village Hall at 12.00

May 20th is the 97th Meriden Cyclists Memorial Service on the green. I'll lead a C Run at moderate pace leaving at 9.00 to give us plenty of time. There's cakes in the Village Hall afterwards or the option of just riding to Lavender Hall which is on the route.

Yes Liz Colebrook aka Beaumont Bicycle now builds the Trevor Jarvis Flying Gate and exhibited at Bespoke Bristol last year. I also met Trevor cycling out of Tenbury one day and stopped for a chat. Sheila was riding with the Thursday Social Group on this bike until recently.

Thanks Colin. I was at Aunty Ritas on Friday. They have had some problem with a large group of club cyclists (c20) who overwhelmed the cafe unannounced and then posted negative stuff on Trip Advisor. Thanks Simon, I managed to screw in the stop on the rear mech to a middling gear and then set off for Warwick using the triple as a 3 speed as in days of yore. Got to The Tuckery to find it full of the A group who'd been delayed by a **flat** and a wheel rebuild from Vince ! Which cafe did you choos...

I agree with Pete !! There are other far more pressing priorities for cycling in Birmingham and even for cycle sport this is not a good use of money. Be good to just have a decent basic road circuit in Birmingham

Well I got to Meriden and got wet and cold and then faced some fog coming past the Peacock on the return but enjoyed myself. Do I get a club run point for getting to the Black Horse to cancel a run that no one turned up for??? Points mean prizes as you know !

Thanks for the advice Phil. I'm afraid the C Run to Meriden will have to be cancelled also. It's not safe to lead a run if there is ice about. I'll make my own way there slowly on studded tyres. Apologies if anyone was hoping to come.
