Very sad news. A legend and a lovely bloke gone much too early. His events were always a bit beyond me including the Kidderminster Map Reading Contest but I got to know him and Charlotte via CTC in later years. He was also famous for his exploits on trikes including a PBP I think.

Weather looks OK for tomorrow's Intro Ride to Avoncroft Museum's Edwardian Tea Room. 30 miles, pleasant potter on nice lanes, a few hills, bring a cafe lock. Be good to have a back up rider.

In 1921 a Memorial was set up in Meriden by public subscription to commerate the many cyclists who died in the “Great War” 1914-1918.
