They kept winwood heath quiet in the blurb !!!!! - thats a pretty severe hill for people who only feel able to ride 30 miles IMO.
£35 price seems a bit steep as well - usually about £20...

Jennings Wood lane V winwood heath
I stumbled across Jenning wood lane on sunday - not pleasant. Shamefully I didn't make it - A van coming in the opposite direction gave me the perfect excuse to get off. Whilst I am not great on hills - I do usually get over them . I was just wondering how this hills compares to my previous nemesis ...

Clent Incident 14/06/2017 -
Last night (14/06/2017) I was cycling down st kenelms clent and had just finished the decent when a large 4x4 coming the opposite direction make a deliberate attempt to knock me of my bike. He swerved onto my side road as I was emergency braking I could see him gesturing angrily towards me. It was a...

I know that Ryan Air - use dynamic pricing, basically when the flight is first open for bookings the seats are cheapest - as the plane fills up the price goes up. Ive tried to 'play' this system with mixed results - the principle above does apply - but just waiting for next flight doesn't always mea...
See BC's cycling cover here https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership/compare See, that suggests that it covers competitive cycling, but then https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/thirdpartyliability states "Important exclusions include: One member against another in a cycling competition, race, tim...
This is an interesting discussion as silver and gold members used to have identical insurance cover. BC has clearly watered down the offering for silver members. I don't race - but on the whole it seems very much like travel insurance - the very cheap cover - if fact doesn't cover for anything at a...
I think it's appropriate to point out that BC cover for Silver membership is third party for both racing and coaching, not just whilst generally cycling (as long as you follow the BC codes and rules). They would also usually provide full representation if required for claims arising out of racing/c...
Insurance
I've always been a bit dismissive of cycle insurance. However a recent accident involving someone I used to ride with got me reconsidering. The risk I take when cycling is my call, I do everything I possibly can to minimise that risk - But none the less the risk is there - so I looked at the options...

Given the forecast for Sunday, it looks as though my Dignitas club run will have its way. Rain, rain, rain and more rain is forecast. Turning up to lead means that I have to get out of bed at some ungodly time and ride to Northfield getting wet in the process. Upon arrival, my desire for returning ...

Hi I haven't road with a club for a few years. Im wondering if after the rides when people post the rider list - would it be an idea to post the average speed - things like brisk pace, steady pace - can mean different things to different people... Hello Pete Welcome back! Details can found at http:...

Its a bad time of year to be getting quotes. The weather gets cooler - people put there heat on - it doesn't work.. I wanted to get my bathroom done - but my regular guy told me the only people I would get this time of year are novices or those that no one wants to use. Might be best to hang on ! Th...
