"You and Mr Liggett must be the only two people left in the world with the same view Neil. Mr Armstrong will always cling to the " never tested positive" argument. I see Phil Liggett thinks along the same lines as i do and i notice Landis lost his case against the UCI. Will be interesting to see what the UCI decide to do. I for one hope they won't just take the word of riders who cut a deal.

I have to take what i read in newspapers with a pinch of salt as it's well known that they can be economical with the truth. People who are in the limelight and who are successful usually make some enemies over the course of their career.

But ok if i am to believe what i've been reading he is Guilty.

All this apparently started before he won any of his seven tours. He sure had some clout for a rider that hadn't won the tour at that point. He is made out to be some kind of mafioso figure that controlled everything that went on. Threatening people that didn't comply. He was a cyclist for christ sa...

Was great having all the shouts of encouragement but racing up that hill is always a blur. As close to having an out of body experience as i can imagine.

Just been away for the week to Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Went to Weymouth then along the coast to Woodbury near Exeter then up to Brean and back home. Some monster hills along the coast but scenic. Picked a nice week for it.

Great post George and I agree with you. I still think though that even in the years gone by when doping was at it's height there must have been some riders that opted not to and road on talent alone. It just becomes so easy to tar everyone with the same brush. Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my...

I said 'IF he doped'. I still believe at this stage that he won fair and square. It dosn't matter what i say anyway because you will always find some reason for him being a cheat. He had better doctors/drugs.... being an example. These doctors/drugs must have turned him into a superhuman. I guess al...

Whatever happens he will still be the winner in my eyes until he either admits he cheated or some real evidence comes to light.

If he was doping like everyone else was supposed to be then it was a level playing field and he still kicked their asses so he was still the better rider.

The way Froome rode in some of the mountain stages in this years tour he could have left all the riders for dead including Wiggo. I'd go as far to say that if he had been on another team he would have won. I guess that means he must have been on something.
