All being well with weather etc I'll lead a C Run to Meriden for the traditional Cycling UK/ CTC Carol Service on 17th Dec. There's cakes in the Village Hall first so an option to miss the sing song and ride back early.

Thanks for the ride Simon - got back OK with Dave and Ade. Just had to strip the mudguard off but wheel will need a rebuild one spoke just ripped straight out. Might check the forks too or see if I can get some with a bit more clearance or use Crud guard in future. 25 cms tyres are a close fit. Coul...

Interesting re "Just in Time" road clearance. It was the same at Bourton on the Hill on Saturday. Rolling road closure was about 15 mins or so ahead of the lead group. I've used panniers for 30 odd years for commuting. I started with Carradice but settled on Ortleib which are just great. Fully waterproof and less prone to go out of shape.
