I'll lead a fairly gentle C Run. My idea is to go to Wyndley Garden Centre in Knowle for an early stop via Rea Valley a bit of canal and then follow the Brum/Solihull green belt line. Bring cafe locks please. Then longer loop via Packwood, Lowsonford, Claverdon, Aston Cantlow, Ullenhall home. But th...

On 19th May I'll lead a C pace run to the 98th Annual Meriden Memorial Service. It will be an early start at 8.15 so we can stop at Lavender Hall for refreshments. The Service starts at 11.00 and there is tea and cake afterwards. There is an option to return directly from Lavender Hall for a shorter...

Re: Schwalbe marathon Winter tyres

Yes I've been using a set on an MTB for several years. With low pressure they cut through most ice and frozen slush etc. Any skid is much more manageable. They are slow though but for me they were a good investment - I could keep commuting on minor roads or Rea Valley during a couple of cold winters...

Dangerous changes at Longbridge roundabout

Hi you may have noticed that the roundabout on the A38 junction with Lickey Road has been "improved" through a Longbridge "Connectivity" Project consulted on in 2015. The object of the "improvement' is to speed up motor traffic and ease "congestion". The inner lane of the A38 dual carriageway toward...
