I wonder if there's any evidence that the existing 20 limit zones have led to any improvements.

While I support the ultimate aims of the initiative I'm not sure about the method, I worry that maybe the only people to benefit are those who sell road signs.

This happened to me when I was caught in a storm weekend before last. Strangely, it actually added a huge hill where the storm started in the flat lands of Earlswood. The correction feature got rid of this but resulted in the elevation being understated compared to a correctly working altimeter.

I'm not entirely comfortable with this because I find out in the countryside most drivers give me more than 1.5m especially when on a fast road. I wouldn't want legislation to imply that they don't need to give me quite so much space.

Cooked food BST weekends only, last time I went they had great rare breeds bacon but generally breakfast type food, other times serve yourself snacks & coffee/tea with honesty box. Bakery in Bidford-upon-Avon has good cafe Mon-Sat.

Ah, I was worried about the reference to colour. As Gary points out the brushed effect is easy to maintain, if you get a scratch or any rubbing causes a shiny spot. I agree George. This plus the fact that Searvogel only passed TG's total with a few days to spare underlines what a magnificent achievement TG's record was and indeed what his 100,000 mile record continues to be.

After all that we'd have been fine. In hindsight I should have gone to the Black Horse and offered anybody that was there a 30 mile ride stopping at the Stables, that would have been enough.
