Thanks for the emergency A/B run Phil after the 'riverside incident ' a new PB in terms of cafe choice! They were surperb.
We expect climbing and therefore decending ,on your runs but the decent into the pit was new. Great stuff

Really good pacey run today thanks Steve and all ,even if we had two visits from the **flat** fairy,both as a result of hitting rocks on the road. On the plus side I had always worried about fixing a flat on those rarther tight Campag rims as it happens the tyre went back on with out leavers,

I Use Koolstop dual compound black and salmon on the same block but either or both are fine to be honest, and pretty much anything is better than the standard Shimarno efforts, they can wear out a rim in a single muddy ride. Swiss stops seem expensive but then so are new wheels

Now that was a toughie ! However quite simply one of the best days cycling I have ever done . Glorious spring weather ,stunning scenery, 8 hours of hill reps with some fast flatter bits at the end . The climb out of Machynlleth is epic. We had to dig really deep after about 90 miles as the hills too...
