Might stop at Cafe Morse tomorrow as a bit more cycle friendly, only a few hundred metres down the way from H2O

Hi George, we're going to stop at cafe H20 on Fossil bank, just over 40 miles in so I'd say 10:30-11 is a safe bet.
My number is 0792612359 if you want to meet there.

Malvern is the plan for Sunday's A ride. 80+ miles, sensible pace .
I'll try and get the gpx up for you tomorrow.

I'll be on my fully guarded Genesis with AA approved tool kit and picnic bag so it'll be a reasonable pace.
Just finalising a route so I'll try and get that up today.

Re: Club runs - 12th November
I guess it's that time of year for me to do my annual club run lead so I can take the A run this Sunday if nobody else was planning to.
Would anybody be up for a slightly earlier start? Meet at 8, leaving for 8:15? It's properly light by then so no need to worry about lights.

Hi All, Just so you know I'm not being anti-social, my parents live up Titterstone Clee, so I'll likely be off around there for a slap-up Sunday roast afterwards. In addition, it looks as though I'll be travelling from Brum with my doggy and partner (not to be confused) in tow. If anything changes I...

I don't have kids, but I do have a lot on so can struggle to get the time I want quite often. The things I've found that help me. - I try and plan for my weeks slots at the beginning of the week (Sunday evening), nothing too formal, just a personal commitment to when stuff is going to happen around ...

Re: Disc brake wheels for commuting?!
Not to confuse matters, but I've recently given up on Mavic due to having a problem with a Ksyrium hub that can't be fixed, when the rims are barely even worn (they're not disc-brake wheels), and have switched to Shimano. I'm with Laurence here, I have had nothing but bother with entry level ...

Good Day,
What time are you planning on departing for this one? I may try and cover a bit of the ride with you all and then turn back if that's OK.

Thanks Phil, Some very helpful detail here, thank you. As you've probably gathered, I'm really keen on the quickest I can do it, but I'm going to attempt to soften some of the route with a bit of scenery in order to get a bit of enjoyment. As for either end, it looks like I may have roped 2 very goo...

End to End - Brevet Randonneur - 1400km
Hi All, I have been fantasising about a Transcontinental style event for some time and figured it's about time I did something about it. I've started launching a couple of reasonable rides over recent months with the plan of training for this: End to End - Brevet Randonneur - 1400km (minimum) The cl...

Hey, With what I'd consider to be 'a lucky escape' last week, then a few riders taking a spill yesterday, I'm inclined to agree that we should hold off again this week. No point training for racing if you end up too injured to actually race. The Star City Loops will start up again soon so we'll see ...

Just a quick one on corners as I notice this has been mentioned a couple of times above. Cornering is one of, if not the most important skill of crit racing, but this circuit is on an open road with all major corners being a potential give way. Intensive and tschnical corner training, whilst practis...

Hard and Fast - Crit/RR/Track Training Ride
Hi All, I will open this up on Facebook in due course, but thought I'd get the interest of the Beacon massive first. Dan, If you want to race, Stourport is as good a place to start as any. I get a little frustrated with the Stourport 'crash fest' labelling. My overall season goal is to hold Cat 2 - mainly because I think I'll actually have some of you to race with the following season. Apologies for coming past the C run yesterday on the Bristol Road without so much as a 'good morning'.
