New bikes often have untrue wheels. They sit in a container for several weeks in docks, on boats etc and have to endure huge temperature changes during their journey here. First pair of wheels I ever built were a forced rush job for a customer. I used a book for instruction as nobody else in the com...

We are a bit short of timekeepers.

It's easy enough to do and quite good fun so come on guys.

In particular the 9 mile events are usually very popular and if more than 20 people turn up its not possible to run the event without 2 timekeepers.

Beacon Heroica

So the first of the 5 mile events in July will be the Retro event. Bikes to qualify must be round tubes no rims deeper than 30mm no tri bars. It would be nice though if the bikes were actually retro so I'm thinking along the lines of an extra handicap for bikes pre modern age. By this I mean pre ahe...

If your using auto on the turbo then the garmin won't be able to work it out because your not moving. So it should be on manual for turbo use. I have mine on manual all the time it doesn't affect GPs performance.

Not specific. Stainless is better than cheap. It's a little fiddly to get the cable up from the hole in the bottom and in to the outer cable but that's what you have to do. Lube the cable outer under the bar tape by spraying GT85 up it. Bit of spray where the cable runs around the top of the lever. ...
