Well the lights werent needed! I waited for a friend who was going to come, and thought we could catch you up, only for my chain to come off on gay hill to stop us having any chance. Rode with 3 others the shorter route, glad I did as I think I would have bonked bad doing the 50, got the shakes bad...

Im happy to do the distance and see it as a challenge. Where I need to get to its about 30 miles from where your route finishes in Brecon.

I will only be using a garmin 500 so would like to put some turn by turn directions on, would this be easy enough to do?

If it's a steel chain stay I'd be amazed if it was a hole. It looks to me like a stone or whatever has taken a chunk out of the paintwork. If it is a hole then I agree with Martin that it's probably always been there. If it's a carbon section of the frame that may be a different matter all together...

It certainly looks like a small hole, you could check I suppose with a small pin or similar. If it is a hole I should imagine it was always there & had just been covered over by the paint so I would suprised if it failed catastrophically on route to bike shop but I guess you could contact bike shop...

I have just zoomed in as took it on a good camera, it is definitely a hole.
