Aye i need to stick with the same pedals as i have (Look) on my Trek as well. It's a shame to have to buy new pedals when these still appear to be in good condition other than the pin coming out which has rendered the pedal useless. Although your right it could be general deterioration. The classics...

Look Classic Pedals
I was riding to work yesterday and after a while noticed i couldn't clip my left foot into the pedal. I thought it was probably just the cleat but when i got home and had a closer look at the pedal i could see that the pin on the outer side had come out so the pedal wasn't being held together proper...

Well after replacing the chain, freewheel, small front chainring and rear mech the bike is running great :). Replaced head set too as that was knackered. Took it to bike shop in the end for them to do it. Didn't really cost much either so hopefully i will get a few more thousand miles on the clock b...

Ok fitted my new chainring. 135 was the correct size. Another question. I have fitted my new rear mech but the top of the cage is way too close to the freewheel in fact i think it touches. I've tried ajusting the top ajustment screw but that dosn't seem to be doing anything. Anyone have any suggesti...

Aye, measured it this morning with ruler although i didn't take the ring off to do it. Worked out at 135 which is what i've ordered and if i've messed up the measurement then serves me right for being lazy or i could just blame George instead. :). Gone for a 44t. I have another question for you thou...

:) I'm running out of options though George, it's an annoying problem that only started recently when i messed with the chain. That has now been replaced along with freewheel. Don't know what else it could be. I'll try a new TA chainring and see what happens. The slippage only seems to occur when i ...

George, I've checked the front crank and the chainrings look fine. What i have noticed is that the chain does look rather slack and dosn't sit on the teeth of the small ring properly at the front. If i rotate the crank anti-clockwise i can see the chain lift up off the teeth slightly. Compare that t...

Chain + Freewheel
When i start to peddle from a stationary position my chain has started slipping and coming off the front ring. I did remove a link to shorten the chain which is what started this problem so i put the link back but the problem still remains and if anything is now worse. This is my old raleigh bike wi...

Yer i've been watching the Tour of California on eurosport and he said something to Lance Armstrong that was despicable. I sent in an email to Dave Harmon and he gave me and the club a mention and read out part of my email. I asked who Paul Kimmage was and he mentioned his book. Not sure i want to r...

ok, as you said they seemed to be taking it easy and i really couldn't tell as i was taking photos i'll have a guess at 3.10. My thinking is that riding up that hill solo is harder than a bunch. Also they are professional cyclists who ride for a living and they had a big crowd cheering them on. They...
