If it's a steel chain stay I'd be amazed if it was a hole. It looks to me like a stone or whatever has taken a chunk out of the paintwork. If it is a hole then I agree with Martin that it's probably always been there. If it's a carbon section of the frame that may be a different matter all together....

Wondering how people would feel about adding the extra section to the Wednesday ride starting this week. It would mean a bit more riding in darkness until the nights draw out further. I'm happy to wait a few weeks or start this coming Wednesday depending on the general feeling.
