Eddie reached Brest last night.

His cumulative speed was 15.7kph, which is only just above the minimum permissable. There are no more controls registrations since then, so either he is resting or has retired from the event (hopefully it is the former).

Sorry to be blunt, but....

By the sounds of the it, with the amount of trouble you are going just get a couple of hills, I would probably say it is not worth the hassle. Just try to cycle as far as you can get and walk the troublesome bits.
