Western Isles I concur with Simon. On Harris, the 'Golden Road' from Rodel following the east coast to Tarbert is a superb cycling road with great character. I did my own route with built in loops to avoid the climbs and immediate descents. What about Rendezvoux Club Runs whereby individuals or small groups all meet at a given location such as a café with takeaway facilities. Riders would make their own way to the rendezvous and maintain 2m distance whilst eating cakes or 200m if Paul Johson is speaking at full volume?

With blood I usually feel rough for two days and lethargic for a week but I guess that platelets might not have the same effect.

I find the Blood Service a little annoying. I am continually pestered by phone, e-mail and text messages to attend donation sessions urgently but when I go to book, I have to weeks before a slot is available. When booking in January I had to wait until March.
