Re: 2023 Time Trials

Great stuff, Simon. Thanks for all this. Can I just ask: is the 20-mile event in April our Handicap Championship event for this year? Hi George, I'm still trying to finalise this. Hopefully we'll be able to hold a further joint event on the K32/20 with Droitwich Cycling club later in the year, whic...

2023 Time Trials

Hi Folks, We’re running a slimmed-down schedule of club time trials for 2023, with the emphasis on having fun, friendly competition and introducing new people to time trialling. Newcomers are most welcome to take part in club TTs, as are guests from other clubs. The 1st event will be a 20 mile TT on...

I'd be interested, though George's dates don't suit me as I'm planning on doing my own short tour further afield.

Re: Handicap competition 2022

Hi Simon I don't have a record of you having raced the course before. If you let me have the details I can get that all changed. The person who beats their PB by the most gets the most handicap points etc Best, Simon It was my first ever TT last year _Q First race of the season and everyone PB'd (w...

Re: Handicap competition 2022

Getting up to speed - here are the results from the first round. Typically the handicap competition has been a rider's best 10 results but given reduced number of races think we should probably reduce to say, best 7? Any thoughts there are 11 races available to count Act Exp H'cap H'cap time H'time...

Re: Backpacking Tent Loan

Paul,

I'm also volunteering for LEL and taking my tent. I do however have 2 tents that are suitable for backpacking.

A 2 person Hilleberg Nallo
&
A 1 person Hilleberg Alto

Which do you think you'd prefer, or would you want to have a look before deciding?

Re: Helpers Required for the Kidderminster Killer 2022

Hi Phil, I should have been working, but it's looking highly unlikely that I'll be back on full duties by then, so I should be available.

I'm happy to help out whenever and wherever you need me

Re: TT

Hi Trevor,
No the roads won't be closed but the route is a fairly quiet rural route.
I'm certainly no expert Time Trialling but I think they've always been on open roads.

Re: Club time trials 2022

Before I start dreaming too hard, is there a lower age limit for these Time Trials? Jim, I entered my first TT last year at the age of 55 and really enjoyed it. Ido hope that you'll be allowed to enter. For those who've not yet seen it, the club TT calendar for 2022 is now available here: http://be...

Re: YHA Weekend Rides

Sounds like a cracking idea to me. 100 miles sounds about right, we had quite a few doing a century a couple of weeks ago.

I'd certainly be happy with a hostel and Brecon Beacons is easy to get to and not as lumpy as it sounds.

Re: Beacon Tour of The Hebrides and Highlands 2015?

Pete, the Outer Hebrides are wonderful. Can I suggest going up the East coast of Harris from Rodel rather than using the Hebridean Way up the west coast. A few years ago I cycled Mull, Ardnamurchan, Skye, Torridons, Ullapool, Stornoway and then down the Outer Hebrides and back to Oban. It was fantas...

It's the Elenydd calendar Audax the day before, so I've got the perfect excuse for not riding the LMTT.

This looks like a great idea George.
I'm surprised no one has voted yet. Unfortunately I'll be plodding my way through Wales that weekend so better not vote.. _Q
