Except that one fan on Zoncolan who pushed the chap in 2nd place straight into the rear wheel of the 1st placed chap and made him unclip and stop. The chap threw his arms up in dismay but not 5 minutes later he was spotted again right next to riders getting in the way... I love getting right up clos...

Result K36/4.5C 28th May
Evenin' all! Bit of a wet one but no rain during the actual riding and not much standing water around the place. Good solid turnout of 13 bodies. Scott **flat**d on the warm up so couldn't start and Richard snapped his pedal on the second lap. Also less people this week so managed to get some split ...

Hi all, 30 people turned out which was fun to keep track of! Thanks to Chris for pushing off and doing the starts when I had to go to the finish to take times (so many people!) and my other half who won't see this msg board. ;) Name Time Scott Povey 00:20:55 Michel Ondred 00:21:20 Martin McGowan 00:...

Huh, I did wonder if I saw you today on my way back in! Some roads in the area have been done recently, including a roundabout which didn't need doing. I had my car MOT done last week and the mechanic there said an Audi TT drove in with a snapped bit of suspension having just fallen into a flooded p...

Clearly the council read our msg boards. Scotland Lane was closed today for resurfacing! (or my repeated constant moaning, whinging, whining with predictions of the apocalypse and rivers of blood littered with car wrecks, through their website worked) I was down there last night and the flooded sect...

Worst surface out there is Scotland lane by Frankley reservoir. A few months ago I went out there, took photos and stopped counting at 200 potholes along a 0.7km stretch of road. In the last couple weeks one of the potholes, I say pothole -- it's several metres long, has disintegrated into a ditch a...

Had a fun moment on the way home today... While cruising home on the 16kg mtb commuter with panniers a roadie pasted me a red light and blew through it. Charming I thought! Started chasing him along... then another light comes along and woom he goes through again. I give chase and catch up again. Th...

29ers already rule in the US. In the elite world 29ers in XC already rule unless it's tight and they go back to 26". Downhillers don't use 29ers at all really but do mix it up with 650b and 26" depending on the course. I own a Whyte 19c 26" from 2012 and looking at their site now they don't even do ...

I have a 705 and did a firmware update which ruined the unit. I took photos of the unit when it was mid-death-throws and tried a few things before contacting Garmin. Sent it off, they had it for a couple days and I got a new one back no hassle at all. Good for me 'cos the screen was nicely bashed up...

Went to Pitcheroak today for a wander around and came across the Halesowen club on a practice ride! Turns out on top of the 3 collarbones last week another chap cracked his pelvis. Have to say it was alot of fun, wasn't sure if it'd just be boring fields or a pile of mud (that'll come later...) but either way really enjoyed it despite stopping 'cos I was hurling post crash. Was on one of them bumps in the left picture where I just went a bit quick, forks compressed and catapul...

WM CX league
Well I've entered... gonna give it a whirl on the mtb.
I don't have a race licence any more -- anyone know if that matters for the league points, or does it just apply to BC regional points which I won't get anyway

Arr pretty common and actually makes no difference whatsoever to how it performs. I've run Hopes on my MTB for 5 years or so and each one has a touch of this on it (even to where I couldn't get the cassette off!) but once it's indented to a point it's ok. The more annoying problem I had was ripping ...

Why would you run a disc hub on a rim brake rim anyway? That way lies insanity!! The brakes are the thing I dislike on road bikes. Having been brought up and raised on hydraulic discs I almost crashed into a roundabout when I got my first road bike 'cos they were quite frankly totally useless at sto...
