In short the idea of second claim membership allows you to be a member of more than one club and stops jersey switching when entering events. Perhaps it is easer to say what a second claim member cannot do in a club. They cannot race under its colour in formal events such as open tts, road races, cr...

Re: Shaving Legs

Does it actually work or will my hair be too thick for it again? cheers Works for me but the batteries run out q...

The only thing I can suggest, which is probably cheaper than a Tacx mat, go to a carpet shop and buy an off cut. The pile should not be too thick in case the trainer wobbles.

Hate to say it but I spend £25 per tyre - on Continental GP4000s. They are expensive but they are excellent.

Kidderminster Killer

Kidderminster Killer, 209k, 13,000ft of climbing, 4AAA points A rather notorious audax that more than deserves a triple AAA point award. It is slow but worth it. Would not wish to ride the route in wet or windy conditions. Usually run on the second Sunday of September. -Clear and accurate route she...

I started to read Krabbe but found it rather difficult to engage with his rather turgid and descriptive style of writing unlike Seaton's own publication. I managed around three chapters before returning it to the shelf. I was probably in a terrible mood at the time as I have heard plenty of raving ...

Yes I read Chris Smith's book straight after his talk and really got into his quirky take on long distance cycling. I am now reading Alistair Humphries Mood of Future Joys about a ride down Africa - not as good but another example of internet publishing. I've also read some time ago Mark Jenkins Of...

Then here's 200+ pages just to remind you I'm Lance Armstrong and I'm great" Hmmm, yes. Of course the 2nd is a sequal to his first book, "I am Lance Armstrong, I am actually quite imp...

I suppose it depends upon the type of GPS that you own. I have Garmin Etrex which is simply not sophisticated enough for route planning. Its waymarking is basically useless. I only ever use it for conferring grid-references against OS maps when mountaineering. Of course it can be used for downloadin...
