Apparently the newer chains do not have as much sideways flexibility. They say that a triple needs a chain with more flex because of the less straight chain lines that are possible. It strikes me that if you avoid large chain wheel/small sprocket or small chain wheel/large sprocket combinations then...

Brompton World Championships 2012
Fresh from the 'Clee to heaven' audax, I took my trusty Brompton* down to Blenheim Palace for the Brompton World Championships - one of the events organised as part of the Bike Blenheim Palace weekend . I am a triple user, and what I find is that I spend 90% of my time in the middle ring, using the middle 6 cogs of the rear sprocket i.e. in the range 49 to 73 in. If I had a compact, I would be switching back and forth between small and large rings to achieve the same effect. http://andyterry.com/im...

I also don't like having to switch it on, then having to press start before it will start recording. Then press stop, then press Lap/Reset in order to save the data, then switch the unit off. Anyone got one of the Garmins that take custom maps?
Like the Oregon, eTrex 30 etc.
I have a custom map (kmz format) and I'd like to know how it looks on the Garmin screen when loaded.
