Sunday 16th August 8:00 BH; Toddington 82 miles; B (14-15mph)

I'll lead a ride to Toddington, stopping at the railway cafe at 44 miles. Distance is 82 Miles return, out via Droitwich and return via Charlton and Bishampton, pace will be 14-15 mph. Weather looks like it will be quite wet before 8:00 but settling down to be damp until mid afternoon. Hopefully not...

Has anybody here provided a platelet donation as I am wondering if there any after effects? With blood I usually feel rough for two days and lethargic for a week but I guess that platelets might not have the same effect. What Goes Around

I’ve just finished reading another book by Emily Chappell, ‘What Goes Around’. Another interesting and entertaining read which I found to be quite compulsive. It records stories if life as a cycle courier recounting tales of life, the jobs, characters and mishaps. Well worth a read.

I use a single speed with a freewheel hub. Myself, I'm not happy using it as fixed in the traffic, although the wheel has a flip flop hub. The advice on choosing the correct size sprocket is important though and you need to consider the gradient of hills you are likely to encounter in that decision.
