Just throwing another suggestion out there for some mid week 2 or 3 day mini tours.

Utilizing B&B or Premier Inn or maybe, just maybe.....camping

Just having a quick look around at YHA's with a 100 mile radius of the Black Horse.

The Peak District has a good selection of options, ranging from around 70 to 100 miles.

It would be ideal if we could get enough people interested so that we could book a dorm just for us?

I've made an amendment to tomorrow's ride in an effort to attract more interest. The route is now based on duration rather than distance. This ride will be one hour maximum. The trouble with starting later and again from painful experience, you get caught behind big groups of very slow people. On the narrow lanes and especially on the climbs its a nightmare and can be quite hazardous.
