Sorry I don't have a GPS route handy but it's the standard route and just under 50 miles via Earlswood, Hockley Heath, Packwood, Fen End back on slightly northern route through Barston, Elvers Green, Darley Green, Box Trees, Blythe Valley, Lady Lane, Wythall.

Good ride thanks Paul and interesting variation on the standard routes. I don't think I've ridden up Baccabox Lane before. So good to be out again and meeting people. Nice to catch up with Mick Cullingham at Wedges. Also thanks to Bike Man Dan for tweaking Ruth's bike at Packwood.

This takes place in May each year (since 1921!) at the Cyclists' War Memorial on Meriden Green at 11.00. We have a Beacon RCC wreath and usually a group of us ride out. I remember it well Tour of the Fords TT was a regular event in early '80s. I never rode but did marshal it once I think. Oscar is right the secret was to slow down ride straight through the fords but I recall that even a marshal came off. I do think that the fords have got more slippery over the yea...
