Yes, I did check on Sheldon Brown, but SPD-SL seems to be a bit after his time so there's not really any useful information. Perhaps the spring is just coming to the end of its useful life.

I finally bumped into Doug this Wednesday and it sounds like we're making some progress with this. It's been held up a bit by the difficulties of finding a coach and a convenient time, but looks like Greg might be leading it with his new coaching qualification. Hopefully there'll be more updates soon.

I haven't heard anything more, but there was an ambulance heading up the hill from Northfield fire station as we left, so they got there pretty quickly. Not the best start to life though, being born in the car park at Wetherspoon's.

What are the chances of tonight's time trial taking place? It's been raining most of the day so far, and it rained most of yesterday, and I remember that last year one of the TTs on the Earlswood course was cancelled due to standing water. Is anyone planning on taking part?

If you scroll down to just below the map, there's a tab called "performance". That gives you a graph of elevation, speed, heart rate, etc. You can switch each variable on or off using the tick boxes above the graph. You can also switch Strava to miles (:roll:) by hovering the mouse over your name up...

I put everything on Strava so I know my mileage for the year, but I would only post the odd ride to Facebook. I think there's an option to post everything to Facebook automatically, so I just turned that off.
