To follow up the Three Peaks we also did the Cycling Weekly Lakeland Monster on Sunday 6th Oct. This is 100k of mixed terrain. We suffered I have to say. It was also the only place in the UK yesterday with horrible weather. Two **flat**s and lots of wet. We did 6h 37m.

In practice though if you just turn it off it still saves the ride. The initial start press is necessary. Imagine you are at an event you turn the unit on it takes a few moments to locate satellites and the start may not be immediately if it just started when you turned it on it would record all the...

Club 10 championship for next year

It's roundabout this time of year that we have to start thinking about next years time trial calendar. The open 10 has not found an organiser for 2014 and as we usually use this as the 10 champs event we will have to allocate another one. There will be a meeting about this but I was wondering which ...

I agree with Ed I wouldn't train on the disc. If you want clinchers then its either going to be heavy or horribly expensive. Next weeks 6 miler is the last of the club evening time trials. I would think by then the handicap competition will be pretty much decided. To celebrate we should all go to the pub afterwards. There is a suitable establishment just round the corner which does lovely food etc.
