Thanks Dave. Was certainly a warm evening. That concludes my (Beacon) season as I shall be away for the last two races (& am not inclined to hill climbing) though I do have a couple of other events earmarked in August. I've had a fabulous season & thanks to all concerned (in whatever capacity) who h...

(First) First

Sunday 22nd July 2012 will go down in the annals of British cycling history. I went and did the Sirley RC annual 30 (k1/30) and came first. OK, the field was, err, small (3). The time wasnt great (1:28:23) but inside the aim of 90 mins (my previous visit to this course was a 1:17 ish 25) . I havent ...

I can oly find a Walton Road on the map & dont think anybody parks there.

Most either park in Ryeland Lane (by the finish) or at the entrance to the industrial estate by the start (but note the gate is on a timer & closes by itself, usually around 7:00 ish and has caught people out)

I'd be happy to give you a lift - need to be going by about 6:00 if you can get round to mine before then?

Ring or text me if you want a lift.

A well deserved win for Gary.

A very pleasant evening all round & thanks to Dave for time keepping.

On checking the archived results, it turns out I was imagining having done a 57 and I'd actually done a pb last night... so very happy with that.

its going to be a slow ride to work this morning..

A huge thanks to all involved with running the LMTT again this year you all deserve a medal (notably the marshalls out on the course).

It was a long & difficult decision (only taken on the way to Great Witley) not to ride but the conditions were beyond that which I'd have been comfortable tackling.

Gary, put me down for 4th July

[Edit]

Sorry Gary, just found out I have to go to Leeds for work on 4th July so might not make it home in time.

Put me down for the following week, 11th July instead.

Other than flats this is a problem to which most (not on a BSO) won't/don't comply with. Though the DfT have previously hinted that prosecution is unlikely provided an 'alternative' (ankle wraps?) are used. An option is Shimano M324(?) Using Tri Bars

After a couple of aborted attempts earlier in the year, I've bolted my set of tri bars back on in the (vein?) attempt of gaining a few seconds tomorrow. 26' 18" is looking less & less likely this year (definitely won't be happening tomorrow, where anything under 30 mins will do for me). Previously, ...
