If any of the runs do go to Shelsley Walsh there will be members racing in the under 8s and under 10s cx at 10 then 10.20 then the hill climbers at 11 up the tarmac then women and men in cx after that so definitely some good spectating to be had. Fitting into any club run tricky I expect though but ...

Agreed Phil, I had a similar experience. I rode with two mates, pretty inexperienced road cyclists but experienced at doing other events like marathons and halves etc and they thought the whole event was brilliant and they couldn't get over how supportive and friendly everyone was around the course,...

New date is next Saturday 16th. Sign in from 1.30, children's and adults races 2-4ish. £1 16and overs, free under 16s. Please bring £1 coin :-)

See here but yes have age 8 and 10, only long sleeve in age 8. Depending on his height age 10 may be ok and last him longer my just turned six year old looks fine in age 8. Can take both sizes and try if you want.

The course looks really good looking at the plan. Children have raced there before in go ride and Schools Cycling Champs but first time for adults. Think only one barrier/face plant per lap Pete :D

And we have a couple of six year olds registered in the league so they need some cheers from marshals and supporters :D

And watching Pete Marshall doing his first cross race should be a good watch to see world class dismounts and mounts ;;-)

Also saw a replay since of Sagans win the day before, after clipping back in he moved massively to the right without reason impeding another rider on a much slower uphill sprint, no punishment or warning I'm aware of there and maybe if there had have been this incident would have been avoided. Yep strange one all round. It's as though they think it was a deliberate elbow having watched footage again to upgrade the punishment, small chance it was but very unlikely and the elbow definitely didn't cause the crash. Agreed Steve, any you see as hazardous. With the injuries to Toby and Dave and other reports I've seen including a rider being killed on a club run elsewhere when he hit a pothole just think worth reporting. You could argue also what's hazardous? If it causes cyclist to ride too close to parked cars...
