From the segments I see on strava this seems (in bursts at least) to have been very fast by usual wednesday standards. I have enjoyed doing these rides for about a year now & have usually found the pace gets controlled by shouts from the back that riders are struggling or of mechanical problems. Eve...

I'm glad this has been brought up, like Laurence I originally assumed this course was K34/10D course. I decided to go out & check the course out this evening, I believe this strava segment http://app.strava.com/segments/4663665 is a close match to the published route. I didn't notice an obvious park...

It certainly looks like a small hole, you could check I suppose with a small pin or similar. If it is a hole I should imagine it was always there & had just been covered over by the paint so I would suprised if it failed catastrophically on route to bike shop but I guess you could contact bike shop ...

Many thanks to Harry for marshalling & especially to Richard for sacrificing his own ride at last moment to timekeep when he realised we were without. Just out of interest is there a rota for timekeeping & marshalling these club time trials? I guess we'd all rather be riding but maybe some of us who...

Calender of when & where can be found at http://www.beaconrcc.org.uk/club_races/tt_calendar/index.html You pay your £3 entry fee & sign on before the start so aim to get there about 20 mins bef...

Thanks to Phil & all who helped organise & staff the audaxes. Thanks also to Keith, Ian & Steve who i rode around with & without who's company i would have lost the will to complete it. What can i say about the route, by far the longest & hardest days cycling i've ever done by a huge margin, thankfu...

I know someone (not local) who has been known to travel onto a mate's 'manor' to steal their KOMs. To be fair, I think that we are all probably guilty of doing that at some point. I think that's part of the fun of strava, take a KOM crown, loose it & then go out to try to take it back. No sense in ...

i've no experience of trying to follow turn by turn directions on garmin edge 500 (i've got edge 605 which can follow either routes as gpx files or courses as tcx files) but there are some good instructions at http://ridewithgps.com/edge_500 they recommend exporting mapped rides as tcx course files....

hi laurence. this is sometimes a problem with inner tubes that have a removable core. i remeber matt regan having exact same problem near end of a club run when he tried to re-inflate his tyre & no matter what he did every time pump valve was unscrewed core came out - he ended up changing tube in po...

hi ian. assuming you've already managed to download & install the communicator plug in you could try making sure you've got windows media player 11 installed & allow the active-X control if the bar at the top of your browser requests it. after i did all this it worked fine if you're still having pro...
