Last week, I left for home at 8, after waiting to hear the results and chat. Some people ride with a rear light in time trials regardless of the time.

Because it's a circuit, you'll experience the wind from all directions, so it will cancel itself out to some extent. Also, you don't want to go too fast the first time in case you don't leave room for improvement next week!

Probably apparent then. When I lie down (or sit down with my legs straight out ahead of me), my right ankle bone is slightly further away than the left one, but it balances out on the bike and it's not that my hips are out of line to compensate, so it wasn't really considered a problem.

I've got an Edge 500, Andy, and find it reasonably good for navigating by. You don't get a map, but you do get a line to follow and it's also possible to set warnings when turns are coming up (I've never created these myself, but found out about them when downloading the route for the Snowdrop Audax...

Most races seem to be available on YouTube pretty soon after - and they don't seem to get taken down either. That might be an alternative to watching it live. This account seems to have most recent races, some in English and some in Dutch.

How does a Saturday afternoon in early April sound? I guess that one thing we need to take in mind is whether we have a coach come along, and what their availability might be, but that might also depend on whether we just plan on having one session or several.

If you can get to Epic Cycles in Ludlow, most of their bikes come with upgraded wheels for the RRP of the bike, or sometimes a little more. I can highly recommend them in terms of customer service, too.

The Procycling article claims that removing the need for a brake track will make rims lighter, but that they'll need more, tougher spokes and reinforced spoke holes. Maybe they're wrong about the extra spokes if there are MTB wheels out there without them, though.

I'm pretty sure that disc brakes are heavier! Not only the brakes themselves, but they require heavier forks and wheels with more spokes. The pros don't really have a choice at the moment as disc brakes aren't sanctioned by the UCI for the road. One of the articles I linked to above makes the point ...
