Appeal for volunteers Beacon Academy Event 3rd April
What? Beacon Academy are running an off road time trial for children aged 5 – 12.
When? The event itself will run from 12 – 3. Help will be needed from 09:30. Packing up will take about an hour depending on the number of helpers. If anyone has an hour to spare on the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd please let me know – I’ll be moving equipment into the HQ.
Where? Ackers Adventure Golden Hillock Road Sparkbrook Birmingham B11 2PY HQ (and parking if required) will be at Ackers base Camp.
How? Before the event: setting up the course, assisting with sign on, assisting with the ‘borrow a bike’ and issuing helmets if needed. During the event: assisting with timing, marshalling the course, supervising the warm up area. After the event crunching the results and assisting with the presentation, packing away the course and putting the bikes back into storage.
Why? This school holiday event is a chance for children to have a go at a cyclo-cross style course – even if they do not have their own working bike.
Who? Suitable for all Beacon RCC members who have availability! N.B. it is not necessary to stay for the whole event if you have other commitments. All offers appreciated even if it is only for an hour.
Please note that we have an indoor facility this time for sign on & bike issue.
