Every year, members' racing and other achievements are recognised with trophies and awards in a wide variety of fields. This year's awards will be presented at the Annual Dinner on 19 November. For details, see http://beaconrcc.org.uk/2022-dinner-and ... sentation/
With most trophies and awards, it's easy to know who's won. With others, the award depends on achievements that club officials might not know about unless riders tell them. In those cases, if you think that you might've won, you need to 'make a claim', i.e. let us know what you've done.
With a few of our time trial trophies and road racing trophies, the situation is a bit in between. The TT Sec and RR Sec have access to most CTT, BC and LVRC results via the governing bodies' websites. So you don't need to claim for trophies, providing that the published results cover all your races. However, occasionally there are cases where people have done rides that can be counted for a Beacon award, but the RR/TT Sec is unlikely to know about them. Examples include other clubs' 'club' (i.e. 'type B') TTs and RRs ridden in other countries. If you have done any races like that, and you want them considered in connection with an award, please let us know asap, and NO LATER THAN 28 OCTOBER. You can DM me via this platform, or e-mail me (george [at] beaconrcc [dot] org [dot] uk). Alternatively, you can send word via another club committee member. If anything's unclear, reply to this post.
