Apologies
Dave
Huge apologies but won't be able to make it. Sort of ok here but went to Boxing Day CX race as did some numpty who decided it would be a good idea to take his dog for a watch and didn't put it on lead. Ran out in front of me on fast part of course. Finished race (adrenaline is a wonderful thing) but then had to go to hospital. Knee stitched back together but no condition to walk unfortunately.
Best

Beacon Boots Walk Saturday Dec 27th.
I've decided to miss the walk this morning but Anne and I will be at the pub for lunch. I hope that someone reads this to avoid anyone waiting for me to turn up at the start. I would have telephoned Mick Kedian but after he gave me his contact telephone number I wrote it down and then promptly lost lost the piece of paper. It's an age thing.
I assume that the CX that Simon was referring to was at Kenilworth yesterday. I was there and there were a lot of loose dogs. It doesn't surprise me that Simon was so unfortunate to hit one. Hope that the damage to your bike and yourself are not too bad.

Thanks Les
Bike is fine! I am sore and on antibiotics to prevent any infection. 2 nasty wounds on knee where I had to have skin stitched back on as flapping about. Bit frustrated as lying around at home not able to do much but definitely on the right road. Must have picked good time to go to hospital as they were very quick and efficient. Best Simon
(Still puzzled as to why people think it is a good idea to take a dog to watch a cycle race and not have it on a lead)
